I here you there...i stopped programming for a lil bit and its like I never knew in the first place lol. It's totally not like riding a bike. Unfortunately, with this stuff, you do fall off and forget your balance lol.

yea totally, nevermind, i will get there... i know how to work most things (except illustrator which i struggle to get my head around... thinking maybe i should do a short refresher course)... but other then that its just re-learning how to get desired effects and finishing designs off nicely... wish me luck

Bl_nde1, are you familiar with flourishes at all? I think the geometric design in the second is what is detracting from it. You're style seems more organic and you might be able to make some good use of this kind of design element.
