We have designed a very successful Fantasy Football (soccer) style game which we are planning to commercialise and market over the coming months. We are looking for a website developer to help us with this project.
The game runs on a SQL Server database, the majority of this work already complete. We have begun work on the Website, but due to personal circumstances, we are having trouble finding the free time necessary to spend developing the site.
The plan is that we want to get the site fully functional by Xmas, then invite Beta testers to help us test the site during the second half of the English Premier League season. We hope to be in a position to market and sell the game in time for the 2010 World Cup next summer, and the following English Premier League season.
The database takes on the majority of the workload with the processing of data and the mechanics of the game, so I believe that the front end website development should be a simple, and enjoyable, project for the right person. We just need to develop pages to display different information and stats, and to enable users to enter or change basic records. This is by no means a full time job - we require just a few hours a week so could suit somone already employed, a student or just a keen amateur web designer.
Now, we are not in a position to offer any immediate financial incentive. However, we are convinced that the project will be a commercial success, and have big plans on how to develop it further to appeal to even more sports fans across the globe. Therefore, I would be willing to offer the right candidate a percentage of the future equity, basically shares in the business, as an enticement. I hope you understand that by offering you a slice of our "baby", we expect the same level of enthusiasm in return, and by having an agreement like this in place, we will all be pulling in the right direction.

I will give you details on exactly what the vision is, where we are currently at, what we want from the next few months, and our business model going forward. What have you got to lose?
