I have a vision for a different kind of forum, but I don't know much about the forum business. I'm just a humble poster who sees things from the poster's POV.
I need a partner, or partners, who understand the spectrum of software available, and the whole tech side of it.
I can learn, but my work will be to ensure the success of the Forum measured in thousands of happy posting members.
I need software that is specific to the exact design I want, and someone to run and manage that software. I see a team of possibly several partners.
The idea is simple: I want a forum that each topic, and each sub-board and so forth is moderated by the creator.
Admin will only overview just to prevent unlawful activities.
Each Board, sub-forum and Topic will operate on its own.
This innovation should produce thousands of participants who are tired of being bossed around by little Hitler moderators, and told what they can say and so forth.
Each Topic creator will be totally in charge of their own thread with power to delete and change posts, and even possibly ban posters from their locale if need be, in short, anything they want to do inside their space is fine, it is their property, and they will also be free to express any idea whether others like it or not inside their space. You can visit other people's houses, but you must be on good behavior or risk deletion and expulsion.
Imagine a gateway forum with all shades of political and religious views where no one is allowed to intimidate or censor others except within their own area.
Each man who wants to, will be king of his own castle. The Atheists will be prevented from molesting the Christians and so forth and so on.
This should cure what deeply ails the whole Forum industry. Little Hitler Mods are killing it. Questions?
