The first version of ForumLogic has finally been released and I am now trying to build an energetic team to help continue the development of ForumLogic. There are few positions available of several different teams.
All team member positions are strictly for volunteers – these are not paid positions. ForumLogic is released 100% free and open source under the GNU General Public License.
I am going to do my best to explain what each team position will be responsible for. Also, each team will have a team leader assigned to it.
Here are the team leader positions that are open:
Development Team Leader – You will be responsible for the development of new releases of ForumLogic. This position will require more coding knowledge and time than any of the other positions here. You will assign the members of your team different bugs that need to be fixed and new features that need to be added – you will also be working on these as well. You will have to work with the other team leaders during the development of ForumLogic and with its upgrades.
Styles Team Leader – You will be responsible for making sure that your team stays on top of completing the requests our customers have for new styles. All styles are to be released in our public database upon completion.
MOD Team Leader – You will be responsible for making sure that your team stays on top of completing the requests our customers have for new modifications. All modifications are to be released in our public database upon completion.
Before I explain exactly what each team will be responsible for specifically, I am going to let you know what I expect from all members of all team:
1. Contribute to the documentation forum.
2. Work hard to further the growth of ForumLogic.
Below is a detailed explanation of what each team is responsible for. Next to the name of each team you will see a number in parentheses – that is how many positions are still available on the team.
Development Team (3) – The development team is dedicated to fixing all reported bugs and discussing/adding new features to the core software.
Support Team (3) – The support team will run the support forum and provide help where needed throughout the community.
Moderator Team (2) – Just like any forum, we need a moderator team. This team will make sure that spam and inappropriate posts/users stay out of the community.
Styles Team (3) – The styles team is responible for taking care of the styles forums. This not only includes creating styles, but also teaching others how to.
MOD Team (3) – The MOD team is responible for taking care of the MOD forums. This not only includes creating MODs, but also teaching others how to.
If you are interested in joining one of the teams, please send me a message. Your message should clearly explain to me what qualifies you for the position you are requesting, what experience you have with forum software and programming, and what makes you the best candidate.
I would like to thank everyone who has read this topic and is interested in seeing ForumLogic develop into being one of the most popular forum softwares on the web!
