Most webmasters have the good sense to either link your site or take it down upon request. I doubt you will have a problem.

Its great If they Link back to the source, but If they dont,I think its going to be a disadvantage to them more than you, this is because search engines tend to catch copied stuff, they know where the content belongs and what site It was on first.
So I would presume that there is no adverse effect on your site, however you can always shoot an Email and ask them to link back to your Content.

I wish you were right, but search engines don't know where the original is coming from and they cannot catch people stealing your terms, and reworked contents.
Search engines should do more against contents thiefs and lazy webmasters.

Its genuine that you will take a necessary action against that webmaster. The content belongs to you and you should get every credit related to its success. Complain the hosting company of that webmaster.
Still make sure that he will not get much importance from search engines as SE do not index duplicate content.

Yeah I had this happen before but they were linking to my pages trying to make it seem like they were owner of my site. As in they did all the work. I just moved my pages and redid the onces they had with a page about stealing content...lol..now everone knows who uses there site. This happened years ago and they still haven't fixed it...lazy webmaster I would say.

If you do google search, you will get javascript code for disabling right click from any webmaster tool's websites.
I am sure if you try this trick nobody would be able to copy your content.
Good Luck

LoL, Sorry this doesn't work.
How does 'not being able to use right-click' prevent me from selecting and copying a text?
It might work for images but... I have never seen one that worked for my Mac / Safari. And I can imagine a lot of work-arounds for ppl on windows.
how about if I disable java in my browser?

I too agree that disabling the right click option would prevent content copying to a certain extent.

I think it is not a major deal.
You can either contact webmaster and tell them to give the credit or remove the content.
If they do not listen you...You can always complaint to their host for getting that content off the web..
Regarding search engines..search engines do know who is the origintal creator of the content. I mean...search engines do have some data in their index system where they picked up that content first ..so if you are the original creator..you are not going to get any duplicate content penalty for that..

The date when it was originally posted can tell that. And google also knows who is the original one.

If a particular article is produced 100s or 1000s of times on the web it will have a negative effect, but it an article of yours is found in a couple of places it won't really have a negative impact.
Still, I think, as others have suggested, that you contact the site owner and tell them that if they don't link back to you, you'll lodge a complaint.
The web archive should be able to prove that you had the content first.

Contact those webmaster who didn't post the link back to your website. If he fail to reply then report to Google that website doesn't have link back to your website as duplicate content and also file to IPR(Intellectual Property Rights) against those webmaster who steal your blog or article.
