If done on either side of the pond after due process, I fully support the take downs. That includes being tried in abstentia since some don't respond to a summons.

Without due process it is just the Really Big Brother at work.

The title is a bit misleading, if you look up the WHOIS information it is registered to a Brit via GoDaddy. The website IP is in the UK also (NOTE: WHOIS record was recently updated so the authorities might have something to do with that part).

Takedowns take place at a DNS level, most often.
