My Content Has Been Copied
Hi,
I found a couple of sites that have copied a huge tutorial I wrote without even linking back to me. I messaged them twice, once about a month ago, then again a couple of weeks ago but they haven't bothered to reply, even though they're online frequently. The next thing I done was submit a DMCA to their host, the problem is, the registered owner of the two sites is also the registered owner of the host. What are my options from here?
Thanks

Send a copy of the DMCA to their registrar.
Do further research as to who owns the IP the hosting is on and send them a copy of the DMCA.
If the pages have been listed in Google, you can also submit your DMCA to Google.

Thanks!

I have had this issue as well and would like to know how it pans out. Also had our project images copied and used by other sites.

First of all, warn them that you are going to do these steps and you can do this and that harm to their websites. Most probably, they will reply to you in fear.

The thread creator already sent emails about this. Have you read all the replies in this thread yet or you still speed posting?

The same is my question that if some one who has copied our website and after giving warning they are not changing their content and sites are live.
Is there any option in Google webmaster tool to warn these people or to inform Google that these people have copied our content or website?
So please tell me if such situation occur?

Are you certified with DMCA?? If yes then you can send complaint to DMCA regarding the mischievous activity done with your content. They will take a strong action against them. Mail them the original link of your site & the url of copied site too.

It is not in Google Webmaster Tools but you can submit a notice to Google via this page: Removing Content From Google

Legal issues on internet!
I just wanted to say thanks to those who answered the questions about copied content. Helpful information - I have a few websites already and just making a blog - so it is helpful for me too.
Thanks everyone

I wonder how people commit this type of crime! I think they have very little barin to write content themselves. Oneday i was checking my ranking status, and suddently I got that a website has stole my site logo without any alteration. Only there was a little change. They deleted my company name and wrote their own. I am planning to warn, then I will share my experience if they reply or not

One thing I'd recommend is to do a ARIN lookup for the IP address.
Go to https://www.arin.net/
Copy paste the IP address at the top right text box
It should show you who owns the IP address.
Look for a "Point of Contact" for the abuse department.

Please keep us updated as to how this works out for you. Copied content is a huge issue online, normally search engines are pretty good at accrediting the original author and marking the copied sites as duplicate content. But it can still be harmful to the strength of your content.
Good luck.

I would also suggest that you warn them first before you take any action.
