Registering a Company in London instead of Russia

Hello!

I am interested in creating an online financial advisory service. I am normally based in Russia but think it would be better for the site if it showed the London address instead of the St-Petersburg, Russia. I wonder if you have experience registering a company in UK for the internet business? I have made a search and found the following offers:

you can use an Hungary company: http://www.offshore-ceg.com/ (use Google Translate). I work with them in International Company formation. They can register companies worldwide. If you need an address in London tell them.

Do you actually want to incorporate in the UK or just have an address?

There are tons of companies that will offer you an address forwarding service for something like £49 a month, I would avoid fancy addresses (e.g. Fleet Street) if all you need is mail forwarding, should save you some money too.

Any of those companies will be good i'm sure. Setting up a UK company is a simple and automated process these days.

As another poster said you will need a UK registered address - there are plenty out there, but watch for expensive charges.

Given you're based in Russia though do you really want a UK business. You'll be subject to UK taxation and law. And if you bring money back on-shore to Russia I suspect you'll also be subject to Russian tax as well.

If your customers are going to be ~80% UK then worth considering I guess. Though you may also fall under UK regulators - have you thought about that?

My view - keep it simple! And if you're trying anything out of the ordinary make sure you get good advice. Will save you money in the long run.
