It also depends on how closely we (and the CA) follow up with our application process. It usually takes up to 30 days. You will also need the following:
- PAN registration (with income tax dept, this is for the Company not individual)
- GST registration
- Opening of bank account in the name of the company (Current account, a/c opening for a Company requires a lot more documentation than opening a saving a/c for individual).
Actually, registering a company is not at all cumbersome. What one needs to know is that of compliance with ROC, GST, Banking, and IT regulations. The procedures associated with an incorporated company, such as:
1. Payment of TDS and advance taxes
2. Filing quarterly returns
3. GST returns filing (monthly), there are several forms to be filed.
4. Maintaining the required registers to comply with ROC regulations, and
5. a CA firm (a CA is a necessity for a registered company. If you are dealing with exports (however small it is!), there are special regulations like Import/Export Code (IOC), and Bank guarantee, etc to be complied with.
I'm sure this is not all. Check with your CA for complete requirements, as it depends on the type of business you intend to do and the place of business. Please note that my intention is not to dissuade, but to help you plan well.
All the best!
Note: Both pvt ltd. and llp have very similar procedures, though my experience is with pvt ltd. co.
