I need some help from an experienced Django developer for one of our member-based websites. Our website has two types of membership: Free/Basic and Paid/Premium. We have a Django-based CMS that manages our content and our store.

Our long-time developer has recently begun a demanding full-time project and is unable to provide ongoing support to us. As a result, we'd like to develop a long term relationship with a new Django developer. In the short term, we require a Django developer to help with a handful of immediate tasks:

- Setting up a version control system for our code (our old Mecurial SCM is offline)
- Troubleshoot issues we're experiencing when some customers make purchases from our store
- Other small tasks

I estimate twenty hours of work for these immediate tasks. Once the immediate tasks are completed, we'd like to have an ongoing arrangement so that ongoing improvements to our site can be made from time-to-time. The ongoing work could range from zero to twenty hours a month.

I would love to know of your experience with Django, version control systems, stores/shopping carts, and content management systems. Please let me know if you have any questions.
