Adserver Category Targeting

Ad Targeting:

Ad Targeting is a feature of the Ad Network that allows you to identify the types of ads that you believe your visitors will find most appealing. Ad Targeting enables you to target your visitors with ads based on specific interests.

Need of Ad Targeting:

This feature provides options to help you optimized your ad's exposure. You can use this to increase the chance that particular parts of the Search audience will see your ad.

The latest products and strategies were covered in the "Targeting Search Ads By Category” session in the Advertising Track.

Advertisers get more opportunities to reach consumers beyond search results pages and reach consumers at multiple stages of the purchasing cycle. Clicks originating from Category targeted ads using recently conducted searches convert 5 to 10 times better than clicks from non-targeted ads.

Category targeting from Adserverservices.com:

• Behavioral Targeting

Behavioral targeting (BT) is an advertising methodology in which an advertiser’s creative is shown to users based on the sites they visit and/or what the user does on those sites.

The network or publisher creates behavioral segments based on where the user has gone and/or what they have done on various web pages. These are typically broad based descriptions like “Travel Shoppers” or “Auto Enthusiasts”, but they can also be very specific to an advertiser like “Users who put items in their shopping cart, but did not check out”. Another example is a segment based on users who have searched for an advertiser’s company name or product name.

• Demographic or Profile Targeting

Demographic targeting allows you to target ads based on a user profile or other information you may have stored about your users. For example, if you collect information such as gender, age, household income, etc. to target the customers.

• Geographic Targeting

Geographical targeting displays ads by user’s location or the IP Address. We provide the geo targeting services by installing the Geo Database services using maxmind database.

• Contextual Targeting

Online ad model that seeks placement only on web pages that feature content relevant to the advertised goods and services. Contextual targeting is a form of targeting that the ad servers use to target a user for showing ad units based on the context of the page they are viewing. This means that if the user is viewing a page with sports content on it, the ad that will be displayed on that page will be sports related.

Adserverservices.com provides the Category Targeting Services to all kinds’ data that the advertiser or the adserver holds.
