Thanks for sharing this great list! I will have to visit a few of them when I have some time although I'm a little concerned about the following:

- duplicate content issue.
- relevancy with my content
- do-follow backlinks

theres no proven proof that google really penalized duplicate content, but for safety and hassle free you can create two articles 1 for updating your site/blog, and the other 1 to pass to article submission sites.

you don't need to pass to thousand of articles directory or to use any automatic article submitter you just need to pass to some high quality sites with good PR and relevant to your niche, be sure to put it in it's proper category.
