Does AdSense actually earn you money?

This q is to v7. Do you guys actually earn any money from the google ads at the top of this forum? How much (ballpark: between $x - y)?

sorry wasn't aware of that because i don't use adsense. JohnScott's answer was good enough for me.

i make plenty of money with adsense. it all depends on your sites.

If you have lots of cheap traffic, but your site doesn't convert well, it can make you money.

OTOH, If you have lots of cheap traffic, but your site doesn't convert well, you will make more money by doing a JV with someone who has a high value per visitor but no traffic. (I learned about this strategy from http://marketingbraindump.com/)

So, the short answer is "no". AdSense is probably not worth the effort to implement, because there are more profitable alternatives in hand-crafted JVs. Consider the opportunity cost.

(Think of it this way: Google is the middleman. If you don't go to the source, you're leaving money on the table.)

If it does work for you, great. If it doesn't, find another way.

pretty blunt, but it makes your job easier because you can cut out a lot of garbage and focus on what matters.

I kind of own it. It is owned by V7 Inc, which is a corporation, of which I'm the majority stockholder.
