Here is a internet trends report that tells you what's in and what's out in short. I know a lot more about this stuff, but it would take days to type up (there are a lot of exceptions also). Well,does it show the trends of web designers or the common usability habits of web surfers?if you could get the common usability habits of the surfers,such as the way they browse the websites,what sort of advertising are they most responsive to,etc etc,it would be damn useful!

Very good, where is this info compiled from? I agree with most apart from extensive Flash sites. You can't blame the technology; only bad designers.

How is that faded line thing made.

clichéd 'business' images used on every website design company from Timbuktu to Ireland.

Also those images where the perspective is distorted 'big head' images.

Stealth I'd like to add 'Web Awards' to your 'out' part. I've seen far to many crap sites with a 'Web award' most times these lame awards are handed out to promote the actual site that dished them out in the first place rahter than the crap that displays them so proudly.
