Social bookmarking site is different from a social networking site. Digg and Delicious are social bookmarking sites. Social bookmarking can help us in our link building campaign and it can drive visitors (traffic) to our site/blog.
SB TIPS:
- Quality Bookmarks - Provide the social bookmarking sites with useful, unique and interesting information through your bookmarks.
- Catchy titles - Put catchy titles that will easily get the attention of other SB users but be sure that those titles are related with the information found in your post/bookmark.
- Socialize - Comments on other related bookmarks by other users.

Time consuming? Why? I guess you were submitting your bookmarks in tons of social bookmarking sites.

I suggest that you should submit your bookmarks only to those SB sites that can give your more and real benefits. You should balance your time consumed and the results you are getting.

Social bookmarking is not the only way to build backlinks for your site. I mean, don't waste your time in unworthy SB sites. In that way, you can try to use/experiment on other SEO techniques or you can improve your SEO skills by reading SEO-related articles from reliable sources.
