This is quite an ego-booster for me! Shows me that I'm doing something right with my content, and I should still keep working hard at it. It's doing some decent referral counts for my traffic as well, hopefully I will be able to keep a few of the referrals as "regular customers".

Of course, I have some members of this forum to thank for in regards to continuous help and advice. You know who you are

I've always been an "if you build it, they will come" kind of guy. I literally spend 80% or 90% of the time working on content, and only a small percentage of time on marketing. Things came slowly, as the site is now over 4 years old, but things sure are coming now! With this TV thing, I got lucky. Today I realized I got some significant referrals from the TV station's website via my traffic analytics, and backtracking on the referral URL resulting in this pleasant finding. So you can say it's luck; the site got its 1 minute of air time because I got lucky. Though I suppose building the content for the past 4 years steadily has something to do with it, too.

Some numbers are in... It looks like the traffic from the Houston Texas area more than doubled when comparing April 6-8 to April 9-11. Apr 9 is the date when the feature aired on TV.
