Ezine Advertising

Ezine Advertising: Is it of much value? Do people actually read these? Do they help your Backlinks, or draw in clients? What are your thoughts?

It won't help with backlinks, but if you target the right ezine, you can get some good leads/sales from it...

An ezine which reaches your target market is worth advertising in.

Personally I would prefer one that does an article to cover your offer / services, people are more likely to read the article than click on an ad in an ezine.

The power of ezines is they establish trust and cred with their list so when they make a recomendation or review positively the list readers are more likely to be open to your offer.

Don't bother with ezines which are only slightly associated with your industry / target market.

I'd pay more for this kind of exposure if they had a really loyal list - not sure what stats they have given you over and above the numbers of subscribers...

Might be a good idea also to subscribe yourself to check the presentation of ads and style of the ezine is to gague it's suitability for your purpose.

Nice site BTW.

Thanks everyone for your help, and the compliment on my site Dominic.

I'm going to look into subscribing for a few things and check them out.

Thanks again,

Josh

I always say give it a try, start VEY targeted and small, without a long term committment, do the ROI analysis on the back end, and see if it was worth it after 30-60 days...it will help if you analysis system cookies users, because not all sales cycles are so immediate, I don't know about your target demo though.

Good luck.

Good advice above.

Ezine advertising can be extremely beneficial. Definately start small, test, measure, and analyze. It can also be possible to waste large amounts of money.
