Search Engine Media Placement

Got an email today from this company http://www.trafficconversions.com/ telling me that they are setting up an informational website that pertains to my industry. It did contain some peronalized info, so it was at least partially hand typed. They call themselves a "Search Engine Media Placement" company. Apparently they maintain networks of sites and charge for ads on them.

Of course (hehe) they are making a final decision on advertisers this week so I need to get back to them ASAP (duh, I better hurry).

Did a google search on em, and got nothing. Site has no PR, no backlinks.
Anyone have any dealings with these guys?

Never heard of them and other then a thread on DigitalPoint asking the same question you are (without any answers) they are no where to be found on the net. So their claims of being a "leading, global provider of targeted, cost-effective search engine marketing services" are bullshit.

I wouldn't bother with them, never a good idea to be the first one to jump int, especially when they contacted you via an unsolicited email.

Well the domain was first registered in Dec 03 so it does not give much time to have generated much traffic. Though their copyright at the bottom of some pages is 1999 (hmm ;( )

They don't use META tags for generating traffic from the search engines.

Google shows no one linking to them and no mention of their site in any other sites in the Google database.

They state: trafficconversions maintains a large, global network of content-rich, online communities and informational properties.

But they don't mention or link to any of them and none are linking back to them. hmmmmm

My advise: RUN............................................... ......
