Commission Junction question

Any one here use Commission Junction?
I just signed up. I placed an ad banner on the top of my website.
I pasted the code they provided onto the page.
It calls the graphic from their site. This is slowing down the page's load time.

Can I save the banner graphic to my server to help load time?
Does CJ allow that? Will it stop tracking the clicks if I do?

Your advice is appreciated.

P.S. It's for the site in the signature if you need to see the code.

I think you can use redirect for CJ links. For the graphics, you'll have to download it to your server. However, if they are animated graphics, they may not work well.

Page load time was fine for me.
HCC might change the banner in time and remain the name of the image same. Merchants do it when they have some periodical offers. It's practical to change just one file when you want to push an ad campaign.

Jim,
Hi. I'm not sure why you're mad. You said the page loaded fine and I was just curious about the connection speed that you had.
I went over to my neighbors today and they have dial up. It does slow the page down some. Or, perhaps I'm just not used to waiting for a 56k modem to load it. She said it seemed like a normal wait time.

But, I think to be cautious I'll keep the banner like it is. Like you said the company could change the banner and then I wouldn't know about it.

Have a wonderful day.

I'm just mad about the connection speed I have. With the same amount of money I'm paying I could get 1MB DSL in USA.
