Anyone knows a way to advertiser other than Popup?
Hi,
I want to advertise online. I did some research on Opt in, but too expensive to narrow down the target market. And, I tried Popups before, they are not all killed by those softwares.
Does anyone know a new way to advertise online? I want high conversion rate. Thanks!

There are several other options for advertising.
1)Having your site in major search engines.
2)Make partnerships (trading links with people)
3)PayPerClick advertising such as Overture, Google Adwords, etc….
Is this type of other advertising options you are looking for?

Juju, I think Popup is not a good method to advertise online. Nowaday, there are popup killer programs and about 80% popup can be blocked. If you really want to show your products through banner media, I sugguest you to try popin/ layer ads. It will not be blocked by programs. In additon, lots of popin/ layer ads have animation. It must attract the visitors to click your website.

Thanks. I know Popup are so out dated now. I heard about those Popin and Popover. Actually, someone sent me a site about "popover generator", it's a software and I don't think it's reliable because you don't get the premission to pop on others' pages.
Is your Popin the same thing? Can I rely on it? At least send me a site to take a look.

If i was advertising pop-ups, pop-unders, pop anything basicly should be avoided, since they would have negitive effect on people's opinion of your company.

Pay per click search engines are a good way. But it does somewhat depend on your niche market. Because this PPC thing can get very expensive, if you don't watch out, but if you are in a relatively uncompetitive market, you should do well with pay per click advertising.
What market are you in? What is your website?

They annoy the hell out of me - that was until I got the Toolbar update and blocked 'em. But I read a few posts on some forum somewhere and it seems that popups really do sell - the popup blockers have reduced their sales enormously. I suppose they are like email spam - annoying but successful.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all these opinions. Yes, I read some articles too, they all said Popups really work, but they are now all blocked by those softwares. That's why I think Popin should help.
PPC Search engine is a totally different thing, you know, it is not virtual image. I think Pop windows would be more effective. I know some people would get annoyed by it, but how about if I have a very interesting image?

One man's very interesting image is another man's uninteresting image. Btw, what's her name - the girl in the very interesting image

Yeah. I agree everyone's opinion is difference. I did some researches on "Popin" and found a site, www.popinads.com, the demo and description seems pretty good. They can target to specific market and you can see the demo too. It's attractive.
How do you guys think?

I know that lots of people hate any Pop. However, do you also hate commercials on TV too? Does that stop you from watching your favorite programs? If a site has free content it has to make money some how. I see no difference between the new ads then commercials to support my free content that I love so much.
Let me reply JuJu message now. I am surprised that you also click into Popinads.com. I bought traffic in this website. Its statistic is clear and the cost is reasonable. I suggest you to pay little cost to try it. If you have any question, you can send email to them or go to its live support. There are people to reply your inquiry

TV ads are very different - they don't pop up, under, or any other way, and they are expected. If we don't like them, we can watch a different channel. Popups and the rest are unexpected, unwanted and they interfere with people. There's a big difference.

It seems like an Interstitial Advertisement. Which, luckly, don't usually work in Mozilla. I personally find those things MORE annoying than conventional pop-ups, since in my opinion it's much more intrusive.

NoNo, I am not selling their product. I just have what they said on the website and ask if that's true.
Actually, I studied marketing and maybe this sounds wired, but I love watching TV commericals. A good one really works. That's why I am thinking a good flash or animation would works in Popin too.

Well, if you want to advertise on Internet, you can never choose a "commerical time". So, i don't think it's helpful.

I think popups are soon to be a thing of the past. MAC OS browser kills them as does mozilla, I hear IE is gonna kill them in the next release, but looking for some advertisers to help support my sites, most if not all that pay CPM require popups and no way to control them. Someone has to be clicking them and buying or it would not go on.
