How to earn using freeware

I developed small freeware and try to earn some money using new method

using this freeware you can stop trial period of shareware

How can I find a sponsor to develop this freeware?
or
If I will create it as shareware will it success?

Actually I want to earn some money. If I'll get $100 for month it is enough for me.
