Can you do this in Adsense?
Does Google allow you to put something like:
"50% of revenue from ads will go towards cancer research"
or something like that under your ads.
I can see why they wouldn't, because people might click just for that.

I bet they wouldn't allow that, as it still encourages clicks... you might want to email them and ask, though.

but if you dont put it directly under, or on top of your ads then it might be ok.

Agreed. I'd be surprised if that was allowed...no way to enforce.

I don't they'd allow that as they state very clearly in their terms of service that you can use any "means" to encourage people to click the ads. For example I've seen alot of sites lately that use the "Sponsored Links" header just above the Adsense ads and that isn't allowed either as I emailed and asked them about that. You can't put "please visit our sponsors" or anything like that. They've told me that "anything" like this is against their terms of use/service.

I'd advise against doing that without contacting Google first.

Sponsored Links is actullay allowed. Check out this email I received from google in response for me asking about it:
Quote:
Thank you for your email. Publishers may not label Google ads "More
Recommended Resources". If you would like to place text above the Google
ads on your pages, please only use "Sponsored Links" or
"Advertisements".
This wording more clearly describes your association with these ads.

How bizzare as I have the exact opposite email from them - they say you are definetly NOT allowed to use the wording "Sponsored Links" - they were very specific about not being allowed to use that wording .. or "any" such wording! That was about 1 month ago that they answered my email about that wording!

Couldn't you just put a disclaimer somewhere on the site that states..... 10% of all revenue is donated to Breast Cancer Research or something like that. You don't have to state anything about google ads.
I have learned alot about adsense recently as I have been in negotiation with them trying to reinstate my account. Someone has maliciously taken my code and put it into a page and used a 'click bot' to click it (it was not me). They are investigating it, meanwhile all money and my account is frozen, so be careful.

Cc Donations to a Cause
There is no reason you could not put on the bottom of your web pages a general disclosure that
" x% of all revenues generated from this site is being donated to XYZ"
Just don't mention Google or any other source of revenue and don't put it close to or make it look like the same text or a part of the ads provided by them.
