NEED A GOOD ADVICE PLEASE

I'm not an expert but I'm willing to learn. First, I will manage this new site Followfeeder(in my signature). The launching will be on November. I'm new in this field and I want to succeed with this.

Press release, Directory submission and Gaining my backlinks is my plans.

My target keywords are twitter tools, twitter followers, best twitter tools.

Please give me some GOOD advice upon this. And do I have a chance to be in the number 1 in Google? And how long will it takes to rank? Since twitter tools in not that competitive unlike others right?

You definitely have a chance of being number 1 on Google. But, if you actually will be depends on the amount of time you invest into it!

I have to agree with that but also state that your press release idea is very good, if you use a paid service. I spent about a grand per press release on one of my properties and it paid dividends. As everyone knows you have to have money to make money. Gotta get big or get lost. I tend to avoid link exchanges and directories. Seems to have a negative effect even.

To be in the first page of Google is not easy at all, no matter the type of niche, it will need some time and a lot of effort. REAL HARD WORK in terms of seo.

Your website is good and I think it is very user friendly. No doubt that your site will be number 1 in google in the future. Just regularly do this things:

Now, what you can do is take a look at this list, search for the sites that lists sites that are the same as yours, like this one http://mashable.com/2008/05/24/14-more-twitter-tools/ and get them to link your site in the list as well. It would really be great if you can get a reputable blogger blog about it too...

and there are some blogs related only to twitter . you can ask them to support you with a backlink. this can be helpfull

Just build as many links as you possibly can, the more the better (well obviously).

I haven't seen the question "how long will it take to rank" being answered yet. It all depends on your determination and the time you put into doing the things other people have mentioned. It doesn't happen overnight however.

My guess would be between 3 to 10 months to get a good ranking on search engines. Until then, your main traffic will come from people reading your forum/blog posts etc, or from paid advertizing such as Google Adwords.
