Domain renewal

My domain is up for expiry in June this year and I am looking at renewing it for a further 2 year period - is there a set date I should do this by? I obviously want to do it asap but thought i'd check first.

Also, and this may sound stupid...when i renew my domain for another two years, will I have to upload everything to my site again or will things stay as they are?

a) you can do it anytime you want. today, next week or up until the domain expires.

b) No, you don't need to do anything. All files will stay where it is now.

You shouldn't be paying more than $8.95 per year per domain

Cheers mate - not so worried now. I had a feeling someone could register my domain before I renewed it (if that makes sense).
