3 free backlinks from PR8 sites

1) eHow.com (PR 8 )
- Visit eHow.com and click the "Join Now" button on the top right
- Fill in the form and click "Register Now"
- Login and click "Edit Profile"
- Make sure that you put your website URL in "Web Site" box and also write a sentence or two in the "About Me Box" - include your website URL with your keywords in the anchor text.
- Click the "Save Changes" button and check everything looks ok by clicking the "see my public profile" button.

2) Blogger.com (PR 8 ) This part of the task does not involve setting up a blog, it is simply a way to get a backlink.
- If you don’t already have a Google account create one.
- Login to Blogger.com with your Google account
- "Edit Profile"
- There is a space to add our website but this is a nofollow link (not counted as a backlink). BUT, if you edit the "About Me" section you can add your website and anchor text and get a backlink.
- "Save Profile"

3) StatCounter.com (PR 8 ) - backlink from the forum.
- Visit the Statcounter Forum and register
- Login and click on your username, then click on "user cpanel" and then on “edit your details”
- Enter your website URL in the "Your Home Page" box
- Scroll down and click "Save Changes"
- If you can make a post in the statcounter forum as well this will help to get your profile page indexed more quickly, but you do not have to do this.

Enjoy...

FYI: eHow profile links are dofollow. Links from ehow articles are nofollow.

Thanks for useful info!
But are all 3 type of backlinks are do-follow? As if they are no-follow you cannot get much benefit from them.

Yes they should be dofollow. Also see my previous post about eHow. Make sure your anchor text is relevant.

They will be helpful when they are relevant to your niche. Otherwise just so so.

The link for you home page is nofollow.

The cached view of your profile page is blank where your home page link would be.

e.g. Althea DeBrule The text version doesn't have her home page either. She's also been there long enough that if there was any value to doing this she would have some kind of PR. Her PR is not ranked.

I have a Blogger profile that is 6 years old. The PR is not rated.

How do you figure your profile will be found without making a post? The community link (to the profiles) is nofollow.

Your search - cache:http://forum.statcounter.com/vb/cale...js=1#community - did not match any documents.
This doesn't seem very useful if you are not going to participate in the site you signed up for.

1. According to this article: http://www.ehow.com/how_5469166_dofo...inks-ehow.html ehow gives you a dofollow link if you place it "by editing your profile and inserting links using standard HTML codes. Links from your eHow profile are DoFollow links and recognized by the search engines for determining PageRank."

Fill in the "About Me" box include your website URL with your keywords
in the anchor text e.g.
Code:
My name is webar and love to make posts on V7 forums. I am the owner of <a href="http://www.mywebsite.com">My superfantastic website</a>.
Click the "Save Changes" button and check everything looks ok by clicking the "see my public profile" button.

2. Blogger: There is a space to add our website but this is a nofollow link (not counted as a backlink). BUT, if you edit the "About Me" section you can add your website and anchor text and get a backlink. E.g.

Code:
My name is webar and I am the owner of <a href="http://www.mywebsite.com">This is my website</a>.
Click on "Save Profile"

3. Statcounter forums: This is the html code i got from entering my site the "Your home page"

Code:
<legend><label for="tb_homepage">Home Page URL</label></legend> <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="3" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td>If you would like to let other visitors to this site know the URL of your own web site, enter it here.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Home Page URL<br /><input type="text" class="bginput" name="homepage" id="tb_homepage" value="http://realtrafficsource.com" size="50" maxlength="200" dir="ltr" /></td>
This is not my area of expertise but i cant see any nofollow tags here so i assume this link actually is dofollow.

Hi, this is interesting info to put to use. But regarding having 'anchor text' in the 'About me' section on blogger, i don't think it's possible as i tried it and does not accept any html tags.

Also, regarding your cheap backlinks offer of over 3100 which includes some high PR sites, how can you offer so many high PR backlinks for such a low price?
There are high PR websites that charge hundreds of dollars for just ONE PR7 OR 8 link on their site!

If you have a question about the service offered in their signature then contact them via PM or go find their ad in the Marketplace.

These will be very helpful!

Now my advice:

People, please do not spam these useful backlinks. The owner of these sites will simply apply nofollow attributes to links and ruin the fun for all of us.

This is in general a very good idea. However, these sites are major players and it will take a lot to spam them - not that you should ever spam anyone. If you leave your links "the normal way" you should be safe.

It was just a general question, where did spam come into it?
Spamming backlinks is when your intention is to promote someone else's product for a commission. I am not even affiliated to this service.
