How do you advertise without being Buried

Hi All,

This is my first real post outside of my hello post and I want to get right down to what I'd like to learn most.

I am trying to promote a product/site called Plug In Poker. I won't put the URL and plug shamelessly here, its in my signature.

My problem is this: I'm trying to get my product noticed in search engines and I am totally lost as to how to make it stand out. All the casino/poker/bingo/gambling sites are covering ALL the major words and search phrases related to poker and games.

My market isn't players, my market is webmasters looking for sticky content. The problem I've hit there is that people see the word poker and instantly think that I'm trying to spam for a poker site.

Any suggestions on a viable low budget marketing plan? We have done bravenet mailings with some success but are being careful about spending without return.
