Anyone run a online store or osCommerce store?

Im thinking about starting a osCommerce store in a untouched area. I am seeking some advice as im unsure where to start and would like to work on a business plan.

My guess gorrilaboy is trying to say "Where is the question?".
I recall when i was young and could not understand something (usually from math books) I tried to seek help from my father.
He would reply back asking me to explain what i did not understand.
That helped a lot.
If you can explain clearly what you want then most likely you will have an answer
But until that nobody will be able to give answer to your problem.

i run a bunch off of oscommerce.
in fact right now i'm building my own version of oscommerce. it will be like cre loaded. (i suggest you sheck out cre loaded)

adrenalinepcs, what are the differences between OSCMax, CRE, and plain OSCommerce?

The former two seem to just be the base OSCommerce with the contribs installed. Is this correct? Any major differences?

I haven't used oscmax but with cre the benefit is they integrated big mods that are hard to install together (like PWA, paypal and the templates system)
and the admin is far better on cre loaded in my option.
though they missed some things that i feel should have been included such as seo urls, a better title system, 404 error pages, product and category error pages, the visitors script, quick updates, and an auto database backup.

I have all of those plus more on the http://www.my-health-store.com/ site. I can give you the code possibly if you are interested.

I run one off Zen-Cart which is very close to OSC. Have not had any problems yet, although I would do a lot of customizing.

Look at the paper sleeve link below and you'll see our modified osc site. Osc has been pretty good once it's modified to fit our sites.

I also have have done over a dozen OS Commerece installs and SEO mods. I like it. Not too many vulnerabilities and good performance.

The most important mod is to have the title tag display the product name for each product.

Than you can begin other mods. I wrote a small script to change the .php to .html and cleaner links.

The possibilities are endless, good store.

Did you see that Miva just released version 5 with mySQL support?

Any of you know of a module that will take ups or usps name and address information straight into the ups or usps system. It's a pain re-typing all that info.
