Shelf domain names

hi there,
anyone can tell me whats a shelf domain name? i have a vague idea about it but im not 100% sure. The thing is that my boss wants to buy a shelf domain name... do you know where i can have a look at?

well, now i think i have an idea. shelf domains are those domains that are already registered and for sale. used domain names, lets say...

i suppose there are website where people sell their domain names... any suggestion?

a shelf domain name is a name that is already registered + listed on the search engines & recieves traffic but not currently being used

You say its not currently being used, so does that mean it is a parked domain?

domains are maily parked at a categorised search page which generates small amounts of income while the owner waits for offers
