I agree that we should always offer the best. In the long run, it will really save us a lot of time and effort.

Th key to work effectively for me is: FOCUS. I get things done twice as fast when I really set my mind to focus mode. For that, i have to eliminate distractions.

I'm also a checklist freak. I constantly have ten thousand of them all over my desk.

Focus is the word. We should really be focused on what we are doing to finish work fast and accurate.

first: define the ideal customers that will match your niche
second : if you meet customers outside the definition, ignore it! if you don't you don't work smart..

Just like everyone else is saying, if something doesn't work or gives the same result as something less costly and/or labor intensive, then just be smart and do the cheap and easy thing. If you spend thousands on a direct mail piece that gets the same amount of sales as a much cheaper email blast, then blast away my friend!

I agree.. time is very essential with us.. so we should not waste time doing things that we know are not as good as the others.. focus on things or strategy that works perfectly fine and make sure that you do your thing nice and well

To work smarter simply means if you only get so far with blog commenting or forum posting then try something else that will work better.

It is just another way of saying not to waste time.

To sum these all up, working smart is having the right focus, and not wasting time on petty matters.
