Affiliate marketing – would like to see some websites

I would like to set up an Affiliate Marketing website â€“ but I have no idea how to actually go about it or what a website that is owned by an Affiliate Marketer even looks .

I have been doing a lot of research & searching â€“ all of that is fine ( as far as that is concerned ) BUT I would like to know if someone would kindly refer me to some of the Affiliate Marketers websites so at least I know what they look like .
OR if you could please tell me where I could look .

I answered this question on one of the other affiliate forums I mod, but can't find the post now.

Good affiliate sites look just like any other site. They may look like a mall filled with many different brand name products. But when you click and link to buy you end up on a different site, the merchants site. Some affiliate sites only have one product and are built around a niche. Affiliates are very protective of their sites and method so I can't share any with you to look at. But if you Googe a popular product like mortgage loans or shoes you are bound to find a wide variety of affiliate sites.
