Anyone know of a good affiliate company?
Hello everyone.
I'm looking to affiliate with a small company that offers good commission on a great product. Commission Junction doesn't seem to have anything DIFFERENT to offer that people haven't already seen.
I run a computer tech site and I'm looking to push great ideas and products for my clients.
Thanks in advance!

why don't you just search on google and see if you can find anything cool. Most good companies have an affiliate program, and if they are very dedicated, they run their own program and don't use cj.com

I can't talk for everybody here, but, I have dealt with a few affiliate programs, but there are thousands and probably even more than that out there, and many of them are very good. I only deal with the ones that I think are very profitable and I build sites to promote these affiliate programs.
I really can't give you any advice on which ones are good or bad, but it would be easier to find some yourself and then post them here to see what we think about them. Also, I know that not that many people that come here are doing affiliate work. A lot of the people here also charge advertising fees, that are not bound on affiliate sales, or have other means to profit of their websites.

Stone Evans came up with a great site called "PluginProfits" which combine 5 affiliate programs and this might help you in your business.

Hope this helps!

Jeff - no offence, but do you have anything else to say except plugging that 2 bit affiliate program which 'supposedly' supports your exotic lifestyle on a yacht in The Carribbean with your many wives? Why is it good? 'Because Stone said so!!"
pctechbytes - check out befree.com, linkshare.com, shareasale.com. Do a search on the search engines for the kind of affiliate program you're looking for. Check out affiliate directories like esponsors.ws, affiliatecash.com and adbility.com
What kind of products are you looking to sell? Software, hardware, games, accessories, components, etc?

My computer tech support site is about heloping people FIRTS and making money last. I am heavy into content and not looking to blog the site down with flashing ads or popups.
I'm heavy into Google Adsense. And I only push one other product on this page http://www.pctechbytes.com/computerrepair.htm for two reasons: It's a real good product--I use it, and it actually helps people.
I'm just looking for innovative products with great commission--it could be virus protection, a pc utility, or whatever. The main criteria is that it must help my visitors.
Thanks

we offer an affiliate program at my site.. it's a new site, and the prices are about 25% lower than the competition so the products shouldn't be hard to sell.

With your audience I would try Google Adsense
I think you can do well with them.

He already uses Adsense.
The thing is, you've got to experiment. If you're waiting for someone to say, 'Join up with Mr A, they're great', it ain't going to happen. When affiliates find good merchants you'd need The Spanish Inquisition to get it out of them. Why? They don't want to 'share' that profit with other sites.
Sign up with a bunch of sites with products you like, or have used, and test them out. After a few months you'll see which ones perform.
Check out those directories and networks above, plus you could always check tigerdirect.com. You've got the right idea by targetting the product to your users.

Dear all.....
I have recently come across a Free piece of Software which searches Click Bank for products and services which you might be interested in promoting.
Here's the link Affiliates Alert. It will explain it better than I can
If you bought the resale rights, you could give away the programe and receive residual income from anyone who buys through any of the links that the software generates. When I clicked on the order now, the price was $78 after taxes ( I think?? ).
Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Brian

pctechbytes,
One of the keys is to find honest, parasite-free programs that your visitors would be interested in. All my programs are very strong, but I don't have any electronics or software merchants right now.
A good way to find the best affiliate-centered programs is to look on ABestWeb. Most of the programs that have forums there are parasite-free and well managed.
Best of luck!

pctechbytes and all,
Another easy way to find some good honest merchants is here:
http://www.atrustedmerchant.com/criteria.htm
The owner of ABW put this site together. Many of my new programs are not listed there yet and it seems he has had a hard time getting anything updated recently, but many of the tried and true programs are listed here. I linked to the criteria page so you can see how and why these companies made the grade. Several of my 5 Star programs have been listed here and the rest will be soon.
