there is no simple or specific thing that can help you to get a good quantity of visitors in your site. if you are in a great hurry then use software. i don't know about them. you can get information about different SEO tools, Software in this forum.
actually i don't believe in software. i always do it manually. it takes time but ultimately gives me very good result. here are my suggestions:
1. optimize your site for 2/3 keywords.
2. quality content with perfect keyword density and other SEO techniques must be applied in the articles.
3. create good quality links. select related forums and submit your comments, threads regularly.
4. article marketing, blog commenting, directory submission all are very important.
5. if you are promoting any local product then SEM is best for you. become an active member in different Social media sites.

follow these and work hard you will get good results in a short time.
now if you get good no of Targeted visitors then your conversion rate will also be increased. you can use video marketing too. submit some videos in youtube. people now don't like to read much they love to know about any product by watching.
at last you should promote product which your site visitors need. try to know that what the people search who visit your site. then Promote those products. i think it it will help you to increase your traffic and also your conversion rate.

So many ways: Seo (backlinking, keywords selection, blog commenting,etc.), you can also guest post for authority blogs with good traffic. You can submit articles to article directories,etc.

A press release is a technique for acquiring backlinks. I am not sure how it could directly increase click throughs or sales ...

This is really an excellent post, and I appreciate the effort you took to lay all that out. Rep awarded. I would like to clarify a couple of things, though...

There is no ideal keyword density -- not that you said there is; but sometimes people get confused by the term. But there is a point at which there are too many keywords on the page and it sounds keyword stuffed to the visitor's inner ear. Keyword stuffing can also trip a negative ranking filter in Google. But keyword density as a positive ranking factor is a myth.

I think in point 5, you meant SMO, nor SEM. SMO (social media optimization) and SEO are both types of Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

I was not clear about the terms Keyword stuffing and density. but now i know. i tried to say not to use same keywords in the same page for too many times. it is considered as a black hat technique. i think so.
and yes i meant SMO! it was my fault that i used SEM.

Well keywords and long tails are one of the ways to help a website rank higher in the search engines. I've been a webmaster for about a year now and 'discovered' (at least I think I did) a way to get keyword and long tail keywords from the top websites in ANY Google search. Right now I'm doing my research to see if it is new (so far I haven't seen anything like it!). I know for sure it is 100% whitehat. I used it on some of my websites and it's proven effective.

Once I know that it is good to go, I will post it here.
