Unhappy Tried to cash in on American Idol Mania - Failed

Just wrote an interesting account of my attempts last night to advertise via American Idol's website, which turned out to be a complete flop. Interested in your thoughts.

If you really want my thoughts, I think this is a pretty lame way of plugging your articles, or spamming your site.

Here's my thoughts..

If you wanna get people to your site all you need to do is put:

"Click here for hot photos of Ace"

and I bet the traffic will start rolling in.

I don't like the forums over there because it is the same BS in every post. I posted something over there and in about 30 minutes it was three pages back. You can't search the forums either. That sux..

I personally want Chris to go all the way. I have already bought his CD and I love his voice. He nailed that Wanted dead or alive last night.

But I would recommend you putting a couple of hot pics on your site of Ace and the girls will roll in. Personally I don't see where he is hot. But that is just My Opinion.

Actually.... what happened was that I started writing it here on v7n and when I got half way through I realized I was going to get long winded. It really wasn't meant as a plug. I just decided I'd rather post it on my own blog.

I get little traffic on that site and I assure you I'm not naive enough to think a simple link in one thread on v7n was going to start a gush of traffic.

It's just that though I decided it was something I'd like to post on my own blog I still wanted to share and discuss it here on v7n. It's an interesting concept (social marketing) and I knew I wouldn't be able to discuss it on my site so I posted the thread here to start a discussion. I didn't paste it here simply for dupe content concerns.

Did I make a booboo?

Nope, you didn't make a booboo bro, I'm just a little over-cautious lately because we have had loads of spammers the past few weeks.

Going to take my pill now, all's well.
