CJ alternative.

Anyone knows decent CJ alternative?

I have an e-commerce site and would like to have a affiliate program but CJ seems to expensive to me.

While I understand that they are expensive to weed out guys like me (they want to do serious business with people that can spend 10K and not sweat it)

But I would like to know if there are alternatives for me who is ready to pay but not those ridiculous money to middle man practically for nothing.

Looking for Pay-Per-Order alternatives.

Hi there,

"But I would like to know if there are alternatives for me who is ready to pay but not those ridiculous money to middle man practically for nothing."

Actually affiliate networks do a lot and I'm not sure you really understand the CJ fees and how they work. But anyway a smaller network that many like is www.shareasale.com they only charge 350 set up.

Another one is MPORT- Here is the merchant info www.mport.com/merchantsignup. They have a special right now with NO set-up fees and no monthly fees. Totally free offer through the end of the month. They are one of my clients and are owned by AzoogleAds the top rated CPA network.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Thanks for the info.

As far as I do not understand how CJ works you might be right. But please explain me.

So far i see they want
1. Setup fee $2250.
2. annnual fee $250
3. Non refundable deposit $3000
4. Transaction fee $0.3 or 30%
5. Minimum monthly fee $500

So if I want to get started I have to deposit $5500 right away.
If I got affiliate and he was lucky enough to get a check for $100 I am paying CJ $30. Plus somehow I do not think everyone will jump on my program and start making money right away. So I will have to pay $500 even if no one is signed up as my affiliate.
------------------------------------------

What do they provide.
1. They make check to affiliates.
2. They provide the "affiliate program" with stats.
3. ??????? what else? please fiil in...

The check I could have written myself. Considering that from every $100 I am also paying CJ $30 I could have had someone who would cost me less and do more as well as writing checks to affiliates. Even Visa/MasterCard want 2.5% of transactions. Why are those guys so greedy an want 30%.

The "affiliate program" I could have bought or custom written for less than $500.

In reality I see that I have to spend upfront somewhere around 10 grand and hope that it would workout.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Nevertheless I can understand that they are weeding out guys like me and want to play with serious guys like Amazon,Discover, ....
hence my question.

I am not poor and probably could afford spend 10 grand but then I want to have some guarantee that it will workout and after one year I will have thousands of affiliates who would make money for me (and themselves) and I will see some return on 10 grand investment. But considering AdWords popularity I think that amount of people who want to play CJ is going down. As well as a quality of their traffic.

CJ is not a good fit for everyone and if the affiliate program is for the site in your sig, I don't think they would be a good fit or would be cost justifiable. They also don't accept many programs and are very strict about who they take.

That's why I suggested the other 2 as good alternatives.
