My website is going to be running in a few weeks, I just wanted to make sure that I have cover all my bases as far as advertising is concerned. 1) Email marketing 2)Press Release 3)SEO. But I need some goods site for free link exchanges. Also any other methods that I am forgetting

In the alternative to search engine traffic, John, you mention a network marketing technique. Do you mean "direct selling" marketing your site by word of mouth?

I ask, because I am a network marketer, and we have lots of tips for word of mouth marketing. However, these might not translate directly to the web because the numbers you need are different (a website needs more traffic than a network marketer would even want in their organization)?

Well thats pretty much there...

I also would consider to use digg.com as also my prime source to post newsworthy articles there... Its becoming very popular these days... If you have any kind of story that you feel that would be newsworthy then just go and digg it... People have reported to have got more than 10000+ hits in a day... Keep on doing the simpler things... Enxchanging values and links...value by articles....

I can also think of doing ezine publications... i would take your attention to the email marketing though.. if you have your own mailing list then yes go for it as it would cost you but is you have to pay for it then certainly dont do it... its totally dead.... apart from being dead you dont know when you may get a ban from people for spamming.

Hope this added to your advertising venture...
