verification feature: pros & cons

Hallo to everyone,

I'm going to use proveout's telephone verification (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/V...f+Being+Honest) in mу e-shop in order to automatically skip fraudulent orders.

Have you ever used this feature? How do your customers react upon such service?

I think it's depends on the type of the product.
If it's expensive items then it probably will work.

But the key here is never try to fix that ain't broken.

Do you have a problem with fradulent trasnsactions now?

There are different levels of broken.
If you can track your conversion rates install it and see if it helps or hinders you. Not having a secure site in some instances can turn off users. Too much security and hassle can also scare off users.

If you have to be able to answer the phone number your card is registered at to place an order then I can see it hurting you. If you can put in any telephone number, as you may be at work, or at a friends, at a public library or internet cafe then the whole idea is pointless anyway.
