You can place your link directly below the video in the description box. I think video marketing is like any other form of marketing - you can't just do it once and expect to generate a ton of traffic. You have to be consistent about it and together you will generate a sizeable traffic.

Very interesting, subject actually. I have thought about it before, but I think I might actually put this on my todo list just to check what type of traffic it could produce. Thanks for the reminder

Firstly, find what are trending (you can use google trends tool) and create a video related to the trending topics and try to make it simple and small. Choose the best Title for the video (it is important for getting more views to your video), and leave a small description to the video along with the link to your website/blog. Also include your website address in your video like a sub title.

The people who get a lot of traffic to their site are those who show vids with great content. Take a look at the viral video greats like the ones from the Old Spice channel, and maybe David After Dentist.

I concur. The greatest challenge there will be to be able to get people to actually click on your video. So optimize what you can. Create a catchy title that is straight to the point, make a concise description and include the url. Then you can use social media sites to spread your video. Make sure it's audible and informative and not too long. People have very short attention spans.

Feature some cute pets in your videos and live a proper signature to let others know, that your pet is cute. Youtube aborigines would find you then.
Well, I'm jokin' right know, but the thing seems to be working same time. Dunno

Optimize the video and then add your url to the description. Google will give a lot of weight to popular videos on youtube.

I've never quite fully understood how people get views from YouTube. It must be kind of complicated at least?

^ this is a great tip!

And don't just post your video and leave it. reply to some comments on your video(s), show them that your there and that you care. I find that this increases conversion rate!

Create an interesting, useful and original video, set a proper title and tags, write accurate description, put a link of your website and optimize it initially.
