My site is 3 Months old but only 30 visitors daily

I have created a website. I created the sitemap of my website which was about 10,000 pages and submitted it to google and bing. My website is in the listing of google, yahoo, bing and ask.com. I have shared my site on facebook and other social networking forums. I have posted the links of my site on the relevant forums.

But it has passed 3 months and my site gets only about 30 visitors / day. It is the average.

How can I increase the traffic of my website??

it is probably not ranked very highly in search engines hence despite it being indexed, people never see your website in the first few pages of the results so you are not getting any traffic...

age of the site can affect the ranking so the older the site, the better your ranking will be... other than that you can also try SEO methods to improve search ranking such as directory submission, article submission

on top of that, depending on what your website is about, whether it is a business or an information site, you can utilise some traditional forms of marketing such as banner ads, classifieds, leaflets

if you can provide some more information on what the site is about, people can be more specific about what sort of things you can do

It depends on the type of website. How is the content? What would motivate people to come to your website? There are many factors that determine. May be you need to promote your website more. You could find a way to increase traffic by using already registered users.

I think quality content and regular update of your site is important to attract new and returned customers.

Other methods that you can use to attract visitors are:
1. Do guest post on other site/blog
2. You can look into FREE link/traffic exchange program to boost your traffics, but they might not be targeted traffics though. If you are interested to know more about link/traffic exchange, check out the following blog post:

All the best.

Cheers!

Only use new content for your site pages, do some social media promotion on facebook and twitter. Plus focus on link building techniques like blog commenting, forum commenting, social bookmarking and so on.

I would have to agree on original content. 10,000 pages are all your own work?

Perhaps, your marketing strategy is not enough, you also need a good SEO strategy...

From my own experience, almost 75% of traffic are coming from search engines. Therefore, you have to have a keyword to target to, and it must be a highly searched keyword. If you have reached a good position on search engine results for a search query, then you will receive a good volume of traffic.

The fact it has over 10,000 pages does suggest it may be gathering content from elsewhere, search engines prefer unique content rather than the same content they have already searched through. I would begin by writing your own content on a daily basis, perhaps writing 3-5 articles per day on your chosen niche.

If the 10k pages plus are not yours then I would slowly begin removing them and using redirects to your homepage.

Do you wish to expand on that? What sort of marketing strategy would you propose?

Why do some posters just stick to one liners? I get fed up with scrolling through some threads just to see answers like "I use google as it is the best" or "It all depends". At least add something that is worth reading.

What kind of content are you using for these 10,000 pages? Are you using scraped/spun articles? Have you purchased lots of cheap articles from a database? Low-quality content is not going to get you a lot of page views. Plus, no one is actually going to read 10k pages of content, even if it's good. More is not necessarily better in this case.

You'd be better off reducing your pages, replacing them with good content, and redirecting everything back to the homepage. Also, if you've been posting links on blogs and forums, have you kept up with it? Placing a single link and walking away really isn't SEO.

have you tried to use a keyword-focused plan to drive the correct people to your website, maybe they are not finding your website when they type on the SE; a good keyword research might help

Im not sure what you were expecting, but 30 organic vistors a day after just 3 months is excellent!

SEO is a continous process, you have made a good start and been reward really well for your work, but now you must concerntrate on fiding an audience that are not yet aware of your website. Think of joining sites like LinkedIn and build authority in your niche. Join web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Hubpages to offere real quality conetnt to a wider audience using video and questionaries/polls to engage people.

Good start keep going.

Search engines are not going to rank a 3 month old site high. It takes years, at least one year to start seeing any good position for competitive keywords. As dan thorley mentioned, keep on working hard and dont expect immediate results.

Depanding on your website - but I would add content as well as advertise more - this will most likely cost you money - but then there are so many different ways you can do it .

I'd say 30 uniques a day after only 3 months isn't actually good going, many struggle to get that after twelve months online!

What is the exact website? I think that 30 visitors / day is not that bad - but it can get much better - what is the domain?

Try always making the content attractive for common people. I made once a blog and in initial months the monthly visits were 19, 28, etc. After 3 years, everyday I receive 800 visits. I always keep my visitor's liking in my mind
