Thoughts on targetted traffic services?

Well it seems like its too good to be true, to be honest. So lets here some experiences anyone has had. Anyone who has had success from targetted traffic or bad experiences? Did it generate any revenue?

I'm not talking about adsense, the smaller setups.

They do work (some much better than others), but the response rate is much lower than programs like adwords, hence, it is much cheaper. The best way to market your website is to use multiple forms of advertising, including targeted traffic and google adwords.
