I m working on one educational site, give me the tips/steps of marketing. the site is new and don't want to invest money in pre-stage.If someone knows the proper ways of marketing please share it.

Try and find other related educational websites and see if you can get involved with them.

Work out what people are looking for in relation to your market, and provide the answers.

Apart from social networking you can try talking to webmasters of sites in the related field. Someone with a bookstore wouldn't mid exchanging links with an educational site.

I know it's already been suggested, but you can try looking for people over at social media that you can cooperate, collaborate, and/or communicate with in this niche. Another one would be looking for a forum where you can represent your educational site. That way, you'll be able to build a good reputation amongst those people who are in the same field.

Oh, I do post on forums, and it is about SEO, but it's not for SEO.
