Would like an "Expert" opinion on advertising on the Internet

I have had a couple of websites on the Internet for
approx 1.5 years. It is down to the time that I am
prepared to start spending a conservative amount of
money to place either solo ads, or any type ad that
really does have good results.

From everything I've read, it seems that solo ads
are probably the best option. Is this correct?

If it is correct, have found thousands of site that
promote solo type ads, gets very confusing as to
which are actually the most reputable and do get
results.

Thanks for your response,

Ray

Have you considered PPC for your sites? (and as an aside, you need to put the http:// in your signature links, otherwise, they don't work)

Are you considering a solo ad in an ezine? Or are you pondering banner ad(s) on actual sites?

I was wondering the same thing.

Ray, when you land vistors to your site who are looking for the products that you sell... are you converting them into customers? I think this is why PPC is a nice choice. It allows you to really focus on particular people. Read Neo's Interview here.

I guess my point is, if you are already landing 'targeted' visitors to your site but aren' converting them, then you may want to focus on 'onsite' enhancement first (although I do like your site thus far).

Having tried Google and Overture, what's your experience with it? My impression is if those can't work, almost everything would be a long shot.
