Stamps.com Vs buying my own stamps

Hey guys.

Soon I intend on launching a marketing campaign, which consists of mailing manilla envelopes (9 by 12) with about 7 pieces of paper within.

My question to you: Do you think that stamps.com would be cheaper than buying my own stamps?

Do you have experience direct mailing? If so, how much do you think it would cost to mail a manilla envelope with 7 pieces of paper?

What would you do to get these out?

I appreciate your time guys.

PS: All mail is USA domestic

Have you tried to compare the prices?

How many piece of mail are you mailing? If its a large amount then I would outsource it to another company and have them handle everything (saves a lot of headache)

The best way to figure out how much its going to cost is to call your post office and ask them.

I intend on mailing about 100 pieces per week.

The USPS.com website is so confusing. I just want to send my "7 paper piece" promotional item to different businesses. (No wonder why USPS is going out of business, their website is very confusing).

Can you tell me how much it would cost to mail a "large envelope" with 7 piece of paper to domestic USA locations? (Cause I can't figure it out).

Lol.

I'll goto the post office tomorrow and ask, but was curious if you could offer advice.

THANKS!

PS: I will eventually outsource it, but want to mail some on my own too.

Older thread but new to me.

I don't know if stamps.com has an up charge or not but anyone with a CC can print postage paid mailing labels at USPS.com at actual cost. You can even do batch jobs so you don't wind up with 57 charges for a buck 42.

The really nice thing about using the postal service site is that delivery confirmation is free for packages.
