Best way to get 1 million views in a month?
Hey guys,
I'm looking to get 1 million views (just pageviews, no conversions needed) on my website in a month. I'd like to keep the CPC low at below $0.05. What are the best platforms that I can use to achieve this?
I have tried AdBrite banner ads in the past, and while they delivered views at a low cost ($0.01-$0 CPC), the views came in rather slowly (1,000 views per day). I also tried Facebook ads but they are too expensive. Any other good alternatives? Maybe Google Adwords, Yahoo/MSN text ads?
I also like my traffic sources to be legitimate and not shady, so I've been staying away from Looksmart, Adf.ly, eZanga, etc.
Thanks so much!

Someone answer the question above. I want to know if that's even possible myself. :-)

Well it all depends on your niche, let me explain with a small case study:
I previously ran a number of blogs that I made popular and flipped for a profit, the first one was a techblog, I found that a bulk of my traffic came from search when ever I covered a new Apple news story, something that people were actively searching for. It didn't matter that my blog was a little no named wordpress blog, there was such a bulk of traffic seeking the latest news on that topic that I got plenty of trickle down.
In that case any time Apple, Google, Samsung etc made an announcement I made sure to write a blog post on every single feature, plenty of strong content to get indexed and I made the numbers not by being a topsite but for being a broadsite.
Another blog I ran was in conjunction with my girlfriend at the time and it was a arts and crafts blog, it's strongest moments were the launch of pinterest, I syndicated every post with associated pictures and pinned them on Pinterest with link backs. As long as the content was unique and visually pleasing there was a strong traffic flow.
Now if you can't go the rich content route it is still easy to achieve with PPC. I highly recommend using Facebook ads, bid on CPM (cost per 1000 views) rather than CPC (cost-per-click), and super target your demographics. If you are a US site promoting golf look at targeting men 18-45, in the US, with golf listed as an interest. Keep your ad sales copy short, and try using pictures that pop out at the user, things with yellow or red tend to increase the CTR (click-through-rate)
Set a decent bid and watch your daily cap, experiment with different sales copy until you get one that is giving you a good eCPM (estimated cost per 1000 views) and then dump your ad budget into that ad.
At the end of the day most of my campaigns that I took the time to research the demographic of were performing at <$0.01 - $0 CPM.

Two ways quickly come to my mind:
1. Put your ad on some hugely popular site especially in that niche
2. Viral marketing
Maybe you could indulge in a combination of the two.
Easier said than done, though :-(

Well, you going to have to be promoting your link and advertising your website on as many networks as you possibly can. Unless you give people a reason to share your link for you it is going to be very difficult without an Advert on a high traffic site.
I would offer some amazing deal or come up with a unique Youtube video that is funny and might go Viral. YouTube videos rank very high on Google so that helps a lot.

Viral marketing is what you should focus on, with the focus on social networks. I cannot guarantee that you will get a million of views in a month, but it is possible.

Adf.ly, eZanga is not a good way, in these visitors never look at your add they only search for exit but for add in anger. Now a days facebook ads very good but you told its a little bit expensive you can create a page on facebook for your product and always post in that a charming and a unique and as well as interesting posts.

1 millions views, you need create branding and media help. Ads campaign is not a very good solution. Try participate contest, and create something that you can feature your site at wall street journal or time megazine.

Google adwords is also as expensive as Facebook ad sometimes so if you are looking for a cheaper alternative then I would recommend using other methods.

Facebook PPC and Adwords would be the best options. You also can buy the visitors from sites like "revisitors" to see if they can help to reach that target in a month. Also look in Fiverr bcoz many sellers there have some magic and can help you to get almost any service for $5

Hi friends. This is very important things to understand the situation. You don't want conversion but you need only views. So you should not go for paid advertisement like Google Adword, Yahoo, or MSN. You need to follow the social community, like Myspace, Orkut, tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter.
