Unique advertising idea
Hello,
I just want to know what do you all think about my advertising television on www.timegrab.com
it is the world's first webbased television where people are able to buy 'the advertising time' and publish their ad campaign on that TV...
Just check this out, and know that all kind of feedback and comments are warmly welcomed!

It looks like its been heavily inspired by milliondollarhomepage.com or whatever it is, to me.

The idea it's cool, but IMO, nobody will be looking at your TV just to watch ads. Myself I always switch channel when Ads appears on my TV
Why don’t you put some good streaming content in your TV and do like TV stations putting ads time to time.

The truth is, if somebody has a online video ad, they are better off using YouTube or Google Video as a distribution tool.
MrMean is right. It comes off like a video-based milliondollarhomepage.
A friend of mine even bought a million dollar pixel script wanting to make another clone out of that. It such a bad idea I dunno how to talk sense into him.

Perhaps if you create enough hype about your idea and make it as narrow or as specific as possible so as to generate the all-important targeted traffic then perhaps you got a winner right there.
I agree with Mrmean that you need some sort of content to make it worthwhile watching.
This is because if it is only ad-based then in the long run there will be little room for expansion. (In my opinion, at least) . Sure, it could be a novelty like the guy who sold a million pixels, but history confirms that novelties do not last.
Besides, all your customers are getting is mostly untargeted traffic, mainly people who just click on the ad for fun.
Sooner or later, they would decide that investing in ads in that site isn't worthwhile.
This is just my observations on it. Hope it helps you in any sort of way!

It is a unique idea. great marketing strategy but i guess jamiejelly is right. no one is going to visit a site just to watch ads. imo just categorize them or support google's movie adds.

I think you should add a few videos to make your idea work. Can’t you stream a few videos from Youtube or google videos and then in the intervals between clips insert a few ads.

Sorry, but its just a wannabe millionnaire clone. These sites are great, if the PR is high, or it's seen that the owner wants to market the website, but if it's just slapped up on the net to make some money with no intended marketing it's a complete waste of time.
I have advertised on a few of these types of sites, but they have all been PR5+ sites.

Just to let you know, you typed in the word 'lenght' incorrectly on your site. Anyway, good luck with it.
