Internet Business Manifesto

Hey whats up
I don't know what my path to finding this was, I think it was from some long-copy newsletter sign up and then a referral link in some newsletter to get this other guys newsletter etc etc. Anyways, its called the "Internet Business Manifesto" by Rich Schefren. Apparently he is a very well known business coach and has a lot of testimonials (I can't tell if its a big hype to get him new clients or if its legit, but either way he wrote this extensive "business manifesto").

I have read through the first one and am now reading "The Missing Chapter".

http://www.strategicprofits.com/interview/

There was a lot of broad tips but it was pretty motivating for me. I will tell you what I think about "The Missing Chapter" after I read it.

Has anyone else heard of this or read it? I think they recorded like 35,000 downloads.

Hope it helps ya

Peace
John

If you really want to build a business instead of just a web site here and a web site there, you should really read both books. They are like a wake-up call.

After reading both offerings from Rich, he seems to have applied big company strategic management techniques to the internet business.

Of course, techniques are just techniques. It'll take lots of experience and vision to put all the components together. I think that is where his coaching comes in.

Great stuff

Smacks a bit too much of info-emcercial (just made that up..lol). That is too say, part old school infomercial and part ‘sales letter’ style web products.

After nearly 20 years of offline and online business development, it is just not my kind of read. When I was younger, I certainly read a ton of stuff as such. So it certainly has value. Just not my bag. These days I do a lot of white-paper, hard core data research reading. You know, thing kind that run $400 and up per white paper..ughhh…. (cost get’s buried into consulting fees by the way..I wouldn’t spend my own dough…duh).

I am MASSIVELY interested in this idea though. I have been working on a breakdown of the internet business structure. It would be very useful for our clients (business development AND web development clients) to see the Big Picture.

It started with <SPAM removed> that I worked on. It’s just a cursory view, I’d love to expand on it.

I refuse to read anything whatsoever that's written in that kind of language.

Using proven techniques that have generated billions of dollars for forward-thinking business gurus, I can bore your goddamn tits off - but only if YOU are brave enough to want to be a winner.

He just posted a 90 min+ video on his blog:
http://www.strategicprofits.com/

Also there are 2 other pdf's if you do like what he is saying.

I have seen anything that works well in terms of selling "things"
that doesn't use some type of bold claim. The shocking headline
still works! "Man eats own head" - LOL

The video is pretty much a visual version of the original pdf - good if you want to take it in through another channel.

Probably the biggest wake-up call is the diagram of SOME of what we try to do all by ourselves. Sort of illuminating, isn't it.

The same philosophy - systemetize - is detailed in Michael Gerber's e-Myth Revisited book.

Where are they? I couldn't find them. All I could find was manifesto.pdf and the missing chapter.

Agreed, i can't stand reading things like that but sometimes I try to pretend that it wasn't really said.

Bore your tits off eh? LoL! Yeah, I just feel like you could get the same ideas and principles out of E-Myth or 7-8th Habits books. I could be wrong though. I would like to know if anyone is in his program.

blind2web is on the right pathblind2web is on the right pathblind2web is on the right path
The problem I have with these kinds of things is that they always say you will be one step ahead of the competition. The same goes for these seminas and expensive management training courses. The problem is the company sells the courses not just to you, but also to your competitors - meaning you are still on the same level as each other and the company doing the course has all the money. Think about it - if 35,000 people have downloaded it, it means you have the same information, strategy, and are on the same level as all of them.

I am a great believer in doing something unique and different to that of your competitors. Hard work and great ideas always pay off.

Thanks

B2W

I can't say I am very impressed... anyone that has to spend 25 pages telling you how smart they are, and how every bigwig in town hires them, and limits any useful information to a graph here and there... It just looks like a big sales gimmick to me. I didn't read the lost chapter, but I was bored with the first part.

I wonder when he is coming out with his "get rich buy this book/audiotape etc." only $99.95. (Just my guess as to what is coming next)
