Has anyone tried to use therichjerk marketing technique in any other industries?

lol... no, I've never heard of therichjerk.com. Looks like a typical "I'm selling secrets" get rich quick scheme to me.

what planet have you been on for the past 18 months Bernard?

Regardless of what is in the ebook, it is the marketing technique that made it one of the largest and most talked about ebooks in history.

I am just curious to see if anyone has used that tactic for any other industries.

One of the most talked about e-books in history. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Actually people have been using similar tactics like that before people were pushing their wares on the web. Sure you could do it any industry that you wanted to try it with, although I am not really sure why anyone would want to do that.

I too would be interested to see if the jerk style tactics work anywhere else. Would it work selling knitting to old ladies? Probably not. Selling boys toys to college teens... perhaps....

I bought the ebook. It's just the basics of internet marketing, including basic SEO, affiliate marketing, paid advertising etc. When you buy the book you also get access to the forum, which has some good stuff.

I didn't buy the RichJerk but have bought many other products only to find
many of things that are in those ebooks are also for free in the forums if you do a little research.

I bought mostly because of the hype and after reading some of those books I still had to go looking to the message boards for the answers.

Lynn - which is why we will always have business with information products. Even though the info is out there for free, many people want it served up to them in a neat and readable format

I bought the book when it was intially available for $98. It was very good book without any fluff. I applied only few techniques in the book and sold the same book at my site www.thejerkrich.com - I made over $1600 in affiliate commissions in just 2 months. For some reasons I ignored the site so it went down in Google - now I just get few sporadic sales.
