What are the best way to promote SNS

I have 5 months old social networking site http://www.katropa.com but still the number of member is not that much only 1300 for the past 5 months while others in just 2 months they have more than 5000 members is there a way or secret to get more members in this type of site?

Offer something unique over the other SNS. Also, think of changing the design so it doesn't look so much like MySpace. Anyone who is already on MySpace and has plenty of friends will see it and think - "well, i'm already on MySpace and this looks basically the same. Why should I move?"
