if you are good in website design and has little talent in programming, you may add a little section to your website, something useful to your visitor like free stuffs, tutorials, Chat room, games or any thing that will give something of value to your prospective visitors.

But what if I don't have control over website content or Meta tags?
I know a bit about SEO. I used to develop websites semi-professionally and did my own optimization - but that was about 8 years ago. I'm working at home again with a new business, but unfortunately the site is provided and I have no control over content or meta tags, and the meta tags are pretty pathetic. I found your forum because I'd heard about doorway pages and hoped they might help me get my site into the search engines, but you've convinced me that I don't want to do that. So now what? After a week, the SEs aren't even finding my submitted URLs when I search by url (although my classified ads show up when I search by URL!) much less by keyword. I am wondering about using ONE doorway page, with content and meta tags I can control, to help me at least get my site INTO the search engines. I am doing lots of external stuff; I opened an account on MySpace and I'm writing an informative blog there for people who want to learn more about working from home - kind of a how-to guide. I'm submitting to FFAs and classified sites, but I have a feeling I could do that every day all day until my fingers fell off and not generate any traffic. I am going to post to the major work from home forums and participate in their discussions, which should help, but I'm floundering, and I really need the SEs but can't figure out how to optimize without a site I can control. What do you suggest I do on a limited budget, given this lame site I have to work with?

No - my website is http://www.homebizmother.com
The domain is one I purchased, and I'm forwarding to the site the company provided me. I tried using forwarding with frames and my own keywords and description, but the search engines don't like that either, because then the spiders can't pick up the links to my other pages because the whole page is imbedded in the frame, and the links disappear inside the frame.

I like the fact that there is a lot of strategies and
while having many strategies are great there is also
a certain saying that you do need focus to keep
up to the current situaiton in internet marketing.
Over the next month I'm going to be working with
some of the well-known brokers to get with link
exchanges online in order to establish a certain
Joint Venture partnership so that a certain amount
of win-win situation can be reached.

I'm going to try article submission, since I'm doing the work in my blog and I'll be able to condense that information into a good article for submission. I don't have any control over content unless I do a doorway page and put content on it. I have the same problem with link exchanges and banner exchanges; since I can't edit my code, I can't exchange links or banners with anyone to drive traffic to my site. I could try that with my blog site, but isn't there enough advertising on MySpace to drive a person batty? And if I understand it correctly, you only get a 1:1 impression ratio, so you have to be getting traffic on your site to create impressions of the links there, which means your ad will only get displayed as many times as your page is currently getting viewed, so if your not getting any traffic, what's the point?
I really need some help here. Please, folks, help me come up with a reasonable, affordable solution to get my website some visitors!

Article submission is a good thing. Also, try to write article and build links to your own article, it will give your article status as Popular and article link from homepage or "Most popular" page.
From good sites, you can get pr6 page with your article and link.
