Red face Should we charge for Facebook Ads separately ?

If we are doing social media marketing, should we include the ppc campaign prices in our proposal beforehand or should we charge the customer on the go. ?
Really confused which strategy should be opted ! Please advise ?

My question to you, is how long have you been offering services you shouldn't be offering?

If you don't know the difference between whether you should offer something separate or combined, maybe you shouldn't be offering that service.

Yes, I thought the same way. But that is the reason I asked for advise over this thread. To avoid "MAYBE's" . Seems you are confused too.

Maybe you should explain yourself better so you don't sound so confused.

Social media marketing is usually charged as a fixed fee while PPC is charged as a % of ad spend. It's best not to mix the two up.

If the client only has xx they can afford a month on any paid advertising, you work with that budget but leave room for you to make a profit. Maybe charge a one time fee to start a brand new campaign that has a different image or different content in the ad.

If a person said to give me $50 and $40 will be for the paid campaign and the $10 is for setting up the ad. I'll agree to that all the time. Now if the ad is not doing me any good and I am not getting any results then that's when I demand answers to why and how will you resolve this?

Most of the time, I'm a ******* to people I pay money to. I want results or give me legit reason why you can not deliver what you promised.

It's really a question of how you want to present it to the client.

I would put it in the original proposal. No one wants something like a big budget increase presented to them while in the beginning phases of a campaign, especially if you have already nailed down how the budget will look. It might look like you're trying to squeeze more money out of them. Best to start off with letting them know beforehand.

There are no hard rules. When I used to work with Social media Marketing company we used to charge flat fee for our services and PPC budget as per their requirement.

And this is why we have such a hard time wanting to pay. People don't seem to be able to deliver and I'm not just going to throw $1K/mo out the window without a darn good reasonable expectation of success.

Clients don't like surprises. So be up front with everything. Don't offer something you can't deliver on.

The answer is obvious.
All your costs must be covered in the proposal.
