Best ad services to make money?

I'm planning a new site which will have a lot of content and want to embed ads that are actually useful to my users to earn some cash. I will be writting tutorials such as 3ds max, photoshop, and flash/actionscript for now(plans to expand). I will also be making some arcade games in flash that will embed ads that will not hinder gameplay. I'm not sure how the ad stuff works yet, but I would like quality advertisements that pay decent. I am thinking I could work up a reputation for advertisers. Thanks

I would say that Google Adsense is still the leaer in the market for text ads. They can pay higher (depending on the topic) but their ads are for the most part relevant.

You should also consider signing up to affiliate programs that provide graphic banners on products related to your site.

I know the google ad thing will generate competitors. I have noticed this on other people's sites who I guess do not pay attention.

That's why there is the Competitive Ad Filter....so you can block your competition from appearing on your own site.

Ok, I don't know anything about Google Adsense. I did not conisder it before. I do not think it will make me much money. I am not sure if that would restrict me to just using their ad stuff.

Adsense can make you a lot of money with little work needed but it all depends on your site topic and how much traffic you get.

As Julie says you can apply the Competitive Ad Filter if you are afraid of losing business to your Competitors but you should only worry about that if you are actually selling products via your site.

I have a unique plan for the future when I get enough content to offer licenses to use digital media. The ads are something for me to test, learn, and fund this project. I think I rather build the random generator based off other things than keywords. The affiliasion offers look good for some things. Some of my stuff will also be embedded into games, since I'm considering having other sites use them or users download.

So let me get this straight. If I put adsense text ads which link to the client’s site (forgive me, I am new at this) on my site in the sidebars, every time someone clicks on it, I get paid something? What is the amount usually?

I would recommend Yahoo Publisher, but this thing is still in beta and very unstable. They can boot you out for no reason.

In any case, don't depend on the single advertiser. Try to diversify your portfolio to cancel out unsystematic risk

Try google and yahoo advertisement, and if your site has a big traffic, affiliate program will make more money than yahoo and google.
